The redevelopment of Adelaide Festival Centre has been completed, following an extensive program of works across Festival Theatre, Dunstan Playhouse and Space Theatre.
The redevelopment commenced in June 2025, with Built as the managing contractor and COX Architecture responsible for the design. The project included upgrades to auditorium seating, foyer and auditorium lighting, stage flooring, carpets, foyer furniture, accessibility infrastructure, dressing room wet areas and the Banquet Room.
Thirteen Commercial Cleaning was engaged to deliver the cleaning scope across the redevelopment, providing services throughout the construction and completion phases of the project.
Over a period of more than three months, 13CC deployed a workforce of more than 50 team members to the site to manage the cleaning requirements associated with the redevelopment.
The scope involved cleaning across multiple areas of the Centre as construction activities progressed, with works coordinated around other trades and changing site conditions. The team managed the cleaning requirements necessary to transition refurbished spaces from construction completion to presentation-ready condition ahead of the Centre’s reopening.
The scale of the project required ongoing workforce coordination, scheduling and quality control to maintain progress across multiple areas simultaneously.
The completed redevelopment reopened Adelaide Festival Centre’s upgraded venues and facilities to the public, including Festival Theatre, Dunstan Playhouse and Space Theatre.
Thirteen Commercial Cleaning’s involvement in the project demonstrates our capacity to mobilise and manage large cleaning teams across complex commercial construction projects, while maintaining the cleaning and presentation requirements necessary for major project handovers.
