Thirteen Commercial Cleaning recently completed three weeks of builders cleaning at the Port Adelaide Football Club’s upgraded Allan Scott Headquarters and new MG High Performance Centre at Alberton Oval, as part of the redevelopment delivered by Sarah Constructions.
With close to 30 cleaners working on site throughout the program, the works covered a range of spaces within the new sporting facilities, including indoor training areas, the gymnasium, changerooms, recovery and wellness spaces, offices, amenities and other shared areas.
The cleaning program included the removal of construction dust, residue and marks from newly finished surfaces, along with detailed cleaning of floors, walls, fixtures, fittings and other internal areas. Internal and external glass cleaning was also carried out across the facility, with areas prepared progressively as construction activities moved through the final stages.
The scale and variety of the facility meant the team worked across everything from large open training spaces to highly detailed player and staff areas. Particular attention was given to glass, joinery, amenities and finished surfaces where construction residue can be more noticeable.
The redevelopment has expanded the facilities available to Port Adelaide’s AFL and AFLW programs, incorporating dedicated training, recovery, medical, administration and player support spaces within the Alberton precinct.
The three-week program formed part of the final preparation of the new facilities, with the different areas cleaned and prepared ahead of their use by players, staff and the wider Port Adelaide Football Club community.
