Sporting facilities are built for movement, competition and community. At the newly upgraded Mile End Sports Complex, the final cleaning works helped prepare the precinct for the return of players, coaches, officials and spectators.
Working alongside Built Environs, Thirteen Commercial Cleaning carried out detailed cleaning across the upgraded outdoor courts and surrounding sporting facilities. The works included machine scrubbing of the new court surfaces, removing construction dust and residue while preparing the courts for regular community use.
The cleaning program extended beyond the playing surfaces, covering sporting areas, player benches and shelters, amenities, bathrooms, common areas and other facilities throughout the precinct. Internal and external areas were detailed as part of the final preparation, with particular attention given to finished surfaces and high-use spaces.
With thousands of participants using the Mile End precinct across community and competitive sport, maintaining a clean and well-presented environment is an important part of making these facilities ready for everyday use.
The upgraded courts represent another step in the broader redevelopment of Mile End as a major sporting destination for South Australia, supporting participation from grassroots players through to higher levels of competition.
For Thirteen Commercial Cleaning, the project provided an opportunity to contribute to a facility that will be used by the sporting community for years to come, helping prepare the space for its next chapter on and off the court.
